Have you seen our new video showing a Second Step lesson in action? The wonderful Year 4 class at Belmont State School in the suburbs of Brisbane were kind enough to allow us to film them learning about emotion management. Second Step is a classroom based, school wide Social Emotional Learning program aimed at improving school readiness and social success, decreasing problem behaviours and promoting self-regulation skills and social-emotional competencies.
